OUR GROUPS

How to enroll into our Telehealth Therapy Groups

Please be advised that in response to protective measures of social distancing for the COVID-19 virus, our groups will be offered though a telehealth platform that meets strict HIPPA privacy guidelines.

Our therapy groups are weekly "closed" groups, comprised of 6-8 participants, and require a pre-screening by the group facilitator. "Closed" groups mean new members cannot join once the group has begun. As each group session builds upon the skills of the prior session, it is critical that you are able to participate in the entire series to receive maximum benefit.

As therapy groups are ongoing during the year, enrollment usually occurs during Week 1 and 2 of each quarter. Group days and times are determined by the needs of its members. Check back at the beginning of each quarter for finalized dates and times. Our potential clients may ask to be added to the waitlist for a specific group, to be contacted by the group facilitator once enrollment is open. Potential participants must complete the assessment with a clinician prior to participation.

If you have any interest to one or more of our groups, please send your inquiry to nataliafoleytherapy@gmail.com

Surviving Breakup Support Group
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

A breakup is one of the most painful experiences in the human experience. Age does not matter. It hurts at 18 as much as it hurts at 60. A breakup is often experienced as a major betrayal, as a stab in the back, as a loss of a part of your heart which was genuinely invested into a relationship of significant importance. It hurts so much because we are humans, and humans are social creatures.

Yes, we can survive alone, but we have our primary instinct moving us forward to look for a soulmate. However, after a breakup, the future seems to be too gloomy… too hopeless for many. It’s not only the pain, but also fear of a new failure tears your soul apart. At this difficult time, support is extremely important.

By joining our breakup survival group, you join a community of people who understand what it feels like to go through this difficult time of transition and challenges. Peer support is here for anyone seeking validation, understanding, or simply looking for a safe group of people to share their story with. It’s an opportunity to talk about your experiences, share skills and coping methods, express emotions and build relationships with people who understand you.

Our members say their support group feels like an understanding family. Join our group if you are no stranger to heartbreak…if you have a relationship you “can’t live with… but can’t live without…” and if you know the pain of losing someone you love… and know the feeling of desperately wanting them back. Help is available. Your future is brighter than you think.

Weight Loss Support Group
Dream Interpretation Modality

For men and women waging a lifelong battle with the scale, the power of the group wields significant leverage. Working in groups, people can provide and receive unparalleled support that is a game changer. Studies have demonstrated that a variety of group treatment settings can help people to achieve at least some weight loss and can prove more effective than dieting alone.

"Groups really provide patients a sense of universality--that they have a problem that other people share," says longtime obesity researcher Thomas Wadden, PhD, a psychology professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. "There is a sense of group support. People provide suggestions for each other."

Our group is unique. We use a dream interpretation modality. Freud called dream interpretation the 'royal road' to the unconscious. It is the 'King's highway' along which everyone can travel to discover the truth of unconscious processes for themselves. We use dreams to influence our day life, to inquire about important questions in our life, and to lose weight. Where is that switch in our dreams that we need to achieve the weight loss? According to Freud, it is all about libido and it is all about you. That is the switch. Your happiness is the switch. Your subconscious is in control of your destiny and your body! Join our group to experience this unique power of your own dreams.

ANTI-STRESS Support Group
Dream Interpretation Modality

According to The American Institute of Stress, about 33 percent of people report feeling extreme stress, and 77 percent of people experience stress that affects their physical health. 73 percent of people have stress that impacts their mental health. Stress is not harmless. Stress kills!

The American Institute of Stress reports 120,000 people die every year as a direct result of work-related stress. All of the above statistics merely scratch the surface of the problem, without considering some of the more deeply rooted issues, such as secondary trauma. The reality is that constant stress can lead to the first stroke by the age of 50. Hand tremors is a typical physical manifestation of stress for many workers around the age of 40. Stress can also lead even to irreversible brain damage.

Many stressed people report an inability to fall asleep without consuming some alcohol on a daily basis. They suffer in silence, because the expectations of society require us to satisfy the image of the always confident, always strong victor.

Any indication of weakness is perceived as a professional and personal failure. Don’t let stress to take over your life. Join our anti-stress group, where we have a three-fold goal: (1) to minimize stress, (2) to reduce depression and (3) to boost self esteem. We have fun while fighting stress! We use dream interpretation to take control of our life. Join us on this journey.
